But it’s not just the colour of their hair that’s impressive.
The big-hearted mates have permanently dyed their locks for the Leukaemia Foundations World’s Greatest Shave Colour for a Cure.
This is Chris Crowe’s second time around and he hopes locals will lend a hand.
“We’ve done it for a couple of years now,” he said.
“One of my brother’s mates back in primary school passed away from leukaemia and a friend has battled it off. It’s all for a bit of fun and to raise funds for a good cause.”
Since having their hair coloured on Sunday, February 23, the five friends have turned heads.
“We had to get our hair bleached first before they could apply the colour,” Mr Crowe said.
“It might take a while for it to grow out, but if it means people notice us and want to help, great.”
If you’d like to help the boys out with a donation call into Collier and Miller Engineering Department or contact Chris on 0437 487175.
Funds raised will go to the Leukaemia Foundation.
