Australian Richie Porte climbed to victory on top of Willunga Hill, to take the leader's jersey in Stage 5 of the Tour Down Under on Saturday.
Santos Tour Down Under organisers said the last climb of the day was almost a carbon copy of Thursday's Corkscrew Hill as Porte battled it out with Cadel Evans and Simon Gerrans early in the climb.

"But this time, it was Porte who broke and showed his power as a climber, moving well clear of Evans and Gerrans to win the stage in a very convincing fashion," the spokesperson said.
Gerrans finished third, behind Diego Ulissi, giving him just enough of a time bonus to take back the Santos Ochre Leader's Jersey by 1 second, ahead of Cadel Evans.
