William and Charlotte topped the most popular boys and girls baby names list for 2013 in NSW and in Griffith they were also up there with the favourites.
In fact Charlotte was ranked the top name for baby girls in Griffith, based on The Area News' birth notices, while Ethan and Thomas narrowly pipped William for boys.
Chelsea, Sienna, Lilly, Ruby, Ava and Madeline were also favoured by Griffith parents with newborn girls.
Meanwhile, Lachlan, Massimo, Carter and Joshua were high on the list of preferred monikers.
Belinda and Timoci Koro's son Tevita, who was born on March 20, 2013, was one of the more original boys' names to appear on the 2013 Griffith list.
It is a Fijian form of David, meaning beloved.
"We knew we wanted a Fijian name for our son," Mrs Koro said.
"I picked Australian girls names for Laticia, 15 and Alana, 9.
"We made a list and Tevita was the one I liked most. Coincidently my husband's cousin Tevita asked if we could call the baby after him.
"It is a big thing in the Fijian culture to be a namesake. It's a special tradition."
Other more unique names to appear in The Area News last year included, for girls, Ariah, Peyton, Hezlyn and Quinn and for boys Ari, Brax, Ziggy and Jax.
