However, there were a number of incidents that took place, which police are still investigating.
Sometime between midday on Christmas Day and Boxing Day, a home in East Griffith was broken into.
Thieves entered through a ground floor window and escaped with a number of electrical items and thousands of dollars in cash.
Police have made a number of inquiries and detectives are still investigating the matter.
Also on Christmas Day, a 40-year-old woman hosting a party had her purse stolen from a bedroom.
The theft was discovered at the end of the night.
Then over the weekend, a man was viciously attacked at a Griffith hotel.
Between 1.30 and 1.45am on Sunday, police were called to Kooyoo Street where a 20-year-old man had been bashed.
The man claimed he was attacked by a group of six men, though he did not know why.
The victim was taken to Griffith Base Hospital suffering lacerations to the top of his head and bruises on his back.
Police conducted a canvass of the area and have reviewed CCTV footage in an effort to identify the attackers.
Anyone with information has been urged to contact Crime Stoppers on 1800 333 000 or Griffith Police on 6969 4299.
Meanwhile, Griffith Police Inspector Stuart Gair reminded locals that during the rest of the holidays, police will maintain regular patrols of all schools throughout the area and remind people that it is an offence to trespass on school grounds.
"Residents who live near schools should report any suspicious activity," Inspector Gair said.
