STRANGE noises, unidentified figures, flickering lights and weird orbs it could all mean Barellan's Commercial Hotel is well-and-truly haunted.
Not that it's a bad thing, according to Haunted Australia's lead investigator Kade Jones.
Mr Jones and his team from the Aurora TV series visited Barellan over the weekend to investigate claims the hotel was home to supernatural spirits after an image from one of the pub's rooms posted on Facebook eight months ago sparked interest there had been unusual activity occurring.
And it seems the team found just what they were looking for.
"I would say it's haunted," Mr Jones said.
"Not that it's a bad thing, that's for sure.
"The thing that really annoyed us was that we could not find any information on someone dying at the hotel.
"There has been nothing documented that anything ever happened to anyone.
"There is a rumour that two people died there, but nothing has been documented."
Mr Jones came to the conclusion the hotel was haunted after a number of spooky encounters during his visit.
"Quite interesting things happened down there," Mr Jones said.
"On Friday, team members arrived just after 1.30pm and had a look at room 19 they had no idea that was the room we had been informed about.
"They had a look in there, everything was fine, they shut the door and walked away.
"Then the door came wide-open and the cupboards were wide-open.
"On Friday night, there was quite a bit of noise coming from upstairs at the end of the building near room 19.
"There was nothing that it could've been we found the noise was coming from between rooms 18 and 19, but there is nothing in between them. It was really odd."
Mr Jones said the strange activity was not just confined to room 19, a dark figure had been seen in and around the bar area while they were filming in complete darkness with their full spectrum camera.
"You could see it, clear as day," Mr Jones said.
"I am 100 per cent sure of what I saw."
Mr Jones said one of his team members had also been touched on the leg and back while walking up the stairs alone.
Mr Jones said they are now in the process of trawling through close to 450 hours of their own video footage, combined with the hotel's CCTV images and voice recordings before airing an episode on their supernatural encounter.
