Duncan was cited by Collingullie-Glenfield Park for an alleged elbow to the face of Jayden Klemke which left the Demons’ midfielder split below the eye.
The incident occurred behind play during the third quarter of the Swans’ loss at Robertson Oval in September, after Griffith had taken a kick out.
Duncan was required to front an AFL Riverina independent tribunal after the league’s investigating officer noted conflicting statements from witnesses.
The tribunal found Duncan guilty and ordered a three-match suspension, noting his conduct was careless, with high impact and making high contact.
The incident wasn’t captured on video but Klemke left the ground for treatment with blood streaming from a cut below his left eye.
He later returned to play a key role in Collingullie-GP’s 10-goal win, which secured the Demons a spot in the grand final, against Leeton-Whitton.
The Duncan suspension closes a busy finals period for disciplinary matters, with three one-match suspensions handed out following the Riverina League grand final, and three weeks in bans given for two Farrer League finals incidents captured on video review.
