Several vehicles were smashed at Homestead Court on Sunday morning, prompting the police call for information.
A Toyota Camry and a Mitsubishi Lancer were taken to with a club, with a number of windows smashed on each vehicle.
A witness in the area said they saw a group of males hanging around the area prior to the attack.
Chief Inspector John Wadsworth said any information given to the police is vital in catching the perpetrators.
“We don’t mind going and checking out something that appears out of place, you don’t have to give your name, it doesn't take much to give us a ring and we certainly don’t mind checking it out,” he said.
There were also several break and enters into cars last week, with separate instances occurring on Zirilli Avenue, Ross Crescent, Kookoora Street, Chilvers Place and Walla Avenue.
The vehicles were broken into and rummaged through, with a number of electronic devices stolen from two vehicles, and a number of other miscellaneous items taken.
“We just encourage everyone to make sure their cars are secured and that valuables are taken out of the car when it is unattended,” he said.
He said police also have serious concerns over the coming fire season, as small grass fires area still occurring.
At 1pm on Saturday there was a small fire lit in the grass near Noorla Street on the channel bank.
Griffith Fire and Rescue attended to put out the fire, and no one was injured and no property was damaged.
“As we come into summer, it is more and more important that people remain vigilant, if you see people in and around Scenic Hill and around channel banks, places that are fire risks, let us know,” he said.
“If possible, we encourage people to get registration plates and a description of anything suspicious as well. We urge people not to approach or say anything, but that information can be vital in helping us catch the perpetrators.”
If you see any suspicious behavior or anything untoward at all, contact Griffith Police Station on 02 6969 4299 or call Crime Stoppers on 1800 333 000.
