VANDALS have caused more than $1000 in damage to a Griffith schools sprinkler system.

Police are hunting those responsible after a number of offenders entered the school’s premises between midnight and 12.30am on Tuesday and removed 10 sprinkler heads.
They were then tossed around the school grounds, but the sprinklers were so badly damaged they will need replacing, which is expected to cost around $1600.
Anyone with information or those who noticed anything suspicious in that area around the specified time should contact police.

MARRIED women in the Griffith area have been urged to check their “wedding ring finger” after an engagement and wedding ring set was located near Woolworths in Banna Avenue.
The jewellery was handed into police and those concerned they may have lost those items earlier this week should contact the Griffith station.

A BURNED out Toyota Camry was located on Lakes Road at Lake Wyangan in bushland around 10.30am.
Police are investigating.
