A search warrant executed by the Griffith Local Area Command in Nericon on Monday has seen a man charged with cannabis cultivation and possession.

About 8am police from Griffith Local Area Command executed the search warrant at a home in Lakes Road at Nericon.
Police located a hydroponic cannabis crop in a rear shed at the property.
As the search continued, further plants were also located in a modified water tank.
Police seized the 39 plants and hydroponic setup which will be destroyed.
A 36-year-old man was arrested at the scene and conveyed to Griffith Police Station.

He was later charged with cultivating cannabis and possess prohibited drug.
The man was granted conditional bail to appear at Griffith Local Court on Wednesday October 11.
