It was a tough loss for the Swans in their last game against Mangoplah and they will be looking to rectify their poor start last weekend.

The Swans were down 64-22 going into halftime and coach Adrian Pavese said it was a case of his side not taking their chances.

“We had the play for the first eight minutes or so but we just couldn’t make the most of it,” he said.

“They (Mangoplah) were able to take the ball out of the middle and go bang, bang, bang and put pressure on the scoreboard.”

With one game before finals the Swans will be looking to build some form into the do-or-die stage of the season.

The side have been on a good run of late and Pavese said the loss isn’t a cause for concern.

“We have only dropped two games in the last two months so we are not panicking by any stretch of the imagination,” he said.

“After coming off the bye and facing a red-hot Mango side we are still pretty happy with how the season has gone.”

The Swans will have a perk which they haven’t had often this season.

“It’s taken until round 18 but we should be able to name a full strength team,” he said

“Toby Blissett was a late out last weekend with the flu and Jack Rowston and Riley Irwin should be back as well.”

The Swans are hoping for a good turn out for what could be their last home game of the season with the club hosting their 100 club event after the game.

The reserve grade will be looking to finish the season with a perfect record when the take on the third placed Bulldogs while it will be a top of the table clash in the 17s.
