It was another performance lead by co-coach Kose Lelei which made the difference as they were able to take away a 56-14 win heading into finals.
The Mallee Men took the lead early after Chris Mayberry crossed in the eighth minute. The lead was short-lived as Lelei crossed for his first of the game to bring the scored back level.
The try sparked a back-and-forth period with both sides with two straight tries to the Tahs giving them a 16-10 lead.
A try to Jonathon Sila right on halftime gave the Tigers a 12-point lead at the break.
The Waratahs continued to keep their foot on the throat of the Mallee Men crossing four minutes after the start of the second half through Ben Vitucci.
Their run of unanswered tries was finally ended at seven after Sam Rauluni, Aistan Fidow and Sila crossed giving the Waratahs a 40-point lead with 10 minutes remaining.
The Mallee Men hit back through Mitchell Pettit, but it was too little too late with the Waratahs crossing for one final try just before the end of the game to take away the 42-point win.
The win means Waratahs are safe in third position and now prepare to take on TLU in the qualifying final next weekend.
