In what has become a successful fundraising event for the club initially had the goal of raising $5000 it was easily eclipsed after jersey actions, donations and raffles were talking into account.
Black and Whites league tag player Makelesi Toga who lost her mother Cema Toga to breast cancer was happy to be able to donate such a substantial amount to CanAssist.
“That is what it is all about,” she said.
“It’s so important because they helped out my mum during her treatment.
“It is just good to give back to those who help people out in their time of need.”
It was the first year the side did a jersey auction at the end of the game and given the success, they will continue it as part of the tradition.
The club would like to thank everyone who supported the day with donations.
