The girls adviser at Wade High School Emily Chilvers, believes the students got a lot out of their presentation, which focused on increasing resilience and emotional intelligence.
“They are targeting an area of need for our youth, so I am the girls adviser at Wade High School, so I thought what could we do this year that is a bit different, and give them some strategies to cope.
“And I think, 21st century kids, it’s a completely different world, with social media going off all night, and hopefully through this they have a few strategies to look after themselves.”
Tresne Hart was thrilled to be at Wade High School.
“We worked with Miss Chilvers a little while back, and there is a lot of male programs out and about, but not too much going around for girls, that’s why we started the Happiness Mission” Tresne said.
“They (Wade High students) were amazing, this has been our favorite school that we have done in a really long time” Carly said.
“We really like going to the country, which we don’t get to a lot … the girls are all smiley and happy, and they are the best.”
“We have the best job in the world!”
