Preparing for her fourth year as an exhibitor at Wagga’s CraftAlive, this year will be different for Ms Rowlands, who will teach two event workshops for the first time.
“I tried other things but I just kept going back to sewing,” Ms Rowlands said.
“The beauty of sewing is that you can create things with just a bit of fabric, anywhere you like.
“Craft can be done anywhere and can take you everywhere.”
Having thrown herself in the deep end this year, Ms Rowlands said her workshop would cover several hand stitching techniques, to help encourage portable creativity for people of all ages.
The event will also support not-for-profit organisation Challenge, with a quilt auction to raise funds for children with cancer.
CraftAlive will showcase the latest craft supplies and trends from July 21 to 23 at the Wagga Showground.
