Griffins woke up this morning to the much awaited rainfall, however a burst water main on the corner of Wakaden street and Illilwa street around 8.15 am is contributing to the already wet conditions.

Council staff are there to ascertain the cause, and Director of Utilities Graham Gordon said at this point said the investigation into the causes are underway.
Police were on scene from around 8.15 am to assist council with traffic control.
Residents are advised to avoid the area, as council will be conducting extensive repairs.
