It was a special win for the side who were playing in the memory of David Raulini Jr who passed away last year according to coach Kose Lelei.
“We knew it was going to be a big day especially playing for one of the brothers we knew we had to turn up especially to play against Yenda,” he said.
“I thought the boys put in 100 per cent, which is good.”
Tahs started the stronger side and found themselves with a 12-point lead thanks to tries from Sam Rauluni and Viliami Ngu before Yenda pulled on back through Tom Sellars.
Anther two tries saw Waratahs look like they were going to run away with the game but a try from Michael Mogliotti on halftime brought the game back to 24-10 at halftime.
Yenda were unable to score any points after halftime as the Waratahs held strong in defence.
The Tahs had no such problem and continued to take the game away with three tries in quick succession to Aistan Fidow, Luke Farmer and Maile Ngu saw them continue to build their lead.
To dominant performance was wrapped up when a strong push from Tim Rice saw him make 20 metres with defenders hanging off him before offloading and when the ball found its way to James Girdler the Tahs had wrapped up a 48-10 win.
Lelei praised the way his big men helped them archive the result.
“We stood out in the middle,” he said.
“I felt our big boys defended really well through the middle.
“Yenda had shot on us when we were defending our line, so I was proud of the boys especially in the middle working together.
“I think Sam Rauluni was the standout in the forwards today.”
The coach was also pleased his side were able to put up another big score following last week's result.
“That is the big bonus especially in the last two games and hopefully we can keep it up,” he said.
The result now sees the Griffith side move up to fourth in the table with a superior point differential over West Wyalong thanks to the two big wins in recent weeks.
The side will now prepare for what could be a difficult away trip when they take on Yanco-Wamoon next weekend.
