Round 9 of Griffith Hockey kicked off win the women’s with Exies Women taking on Easts Women. Sarah Dollin was spectacular in the goals for Exies Women but still wasn’t enough with Easts Women scoring 3. Melinda Bonetti, Davina Guidolin and Adele Potgieter all scoring 1 leaving the score 3-0.

Game 2 saw Vic Hotel vs Griffith Retirement. Vic Hotel’s Hannah Ellis was outstanding for her side top scoring for her team with 2 while her sister Amelia Ellis chipped in with 1. In Reply Griffith Retirement were only able to bag 1 goal scored by Chelsea Axtill leaving the score 3-1.
The Men’s division kicked off with Bulldogs men taking on Leeton. Bulldogs Paul Milne was able to score early for his giving them a good advantage. Leeton switched back on in the second half and were able to score 3 goals scored by Simon Spiers, Nick Anderson and Richie Farrel. Finishing with the score 3-1
Game 2 in the men’s saw Exies Men vs Easts Men. In a very hard fought between the 2 sides. Exies men were able to continue their winning streak with a 2-1 victory. Both Joel Armstrong and Andrew Sinclair were able to score 1 each for side. While Micheal Crosato was Easts only goal scorer.
This weekend will be the annual charity round for the Griffith Hockey Association. There will be barbeques and raffles held on the day with prizes and a trivia night to be held at the Coro Club on Saturday evening.
