With that in mind the team at the Griffith branch of the CEF are fighting to make sure every student in the area has the opportunity to continue their education, preparing to fundraise at their annual ‘Curry and Jam’ event.
Held out at the Binya Hall on Friday, April 28 the night will provide entertainment from local musicians and an array of Indian food whipped up by members of the local Indian community – all generously donating their time.
It’s an easy cause to get behind, according to one organiser Robert Gilbert, who emphasised the importance of helping local students further their educations, whether it be at university, tafe or with other vocational training options.
“They should go because it is a good fun night and it goes a very worthy cause in educating the younger generation,” he said.
Tickets to the event are on sale from Fred Cole Betta Electrical for $30, or $40 including transport out to Binya.
