Police have located the body of a West Wyalong man who was reported missing late last week. The 54-year-old man was reported missing on Friday, March 17 after he was last seen leaving his West Wyalong home at 8.15am.
Following a co-ordinated search, the man was located in bush land on the edge of the township at about 5.20pm on Saturday, March 18. The man’s death is not being treated as suspicious and a report will be prepared for the coroner.
ELEVEN cannabis plants were found on Kook Street in Darlington Point last weekend. Police were called to a dispute at the premises at around 3:30 on Saturday, March 18. Police were unable to find the informant however upon arrival there was a strong smell of cannabis coming from the premises. After searching plants were found growing in the back of the premises. A 34-year old male resident admitted to growing the plants and will face Griffith Local Court charge with cultivating prohibited plant.
