Teams raised money to help support Griffith’s cancer patients, survivors and carers and confirmed the donations by having individual members running, jogging and walking around Sporties oval for 24 hours over Saturday and Sunday.
Onlookers, team supporters and the fundraisers themselves were treated to bands, jumping castles, food and a variety of entertainment.
Organisers were bullish about the 2017 edition of the event leading up to the weekend, after a donation by the Rotary Club of Griffith gave organisers confidence of reaching a new fundraising benchmark.
