Since 1990, when Pioneer Park Museum became the official venue for Griffith’s Australia Day breakfast, crowds have been treated to a breakfast cooked by Griffith Rotary, live music, whip cracking, train and pony rides and plenty of activities for children.
Museum Business Administration Coordinator Jenny O’Donnell-Priest said it was good to see people return year after year to celebrate Australia Day and spend time with friends and family.
“This is a traditional Australia Day celebration in Griffith and each year we see more and more people come enjoy all the festivities and have a good time,” she said.
Mayor John Dal Broi welcomed guests including Federal Member for Farrer Sussan Ley and Griffith’s Australia Day Ambassador Anupam Sharma.
