After observer Mark one-upped his son at Bridge to Bridge Water Ski Classic a fortnight ago, skier Jess hit back at the Ski Racing Victoria Point Score 3 Victorian Titles on the weekend.
The ski racing pairing headed south of the border to Lake Charm for the event where Jess claimed a pair of second places with Mark securing the single second place.
Mark’s second came while observing for Jess and driver Ian Payne on Murrumbidgee Madness in the novice men class.
The crew finished just 20 seconds behind first place.
Jess then backed up his opening placing with another second with the Streak N crew in the novice social class.
It was once again so close, yet so far for Jess who finished just 10 seconds behind the first placed boat.
The Victorian event will be Mark and Jess’ last for the year.
They’ll be back in the water in 2017 but not until a few races in.
A family holiday will see the pair miss a couple early events.
Mark and Jess are aiming to be back competing in time for the Southern 80 which is held from February 10-12 and hosted by the Moama Water Sports Club.
