Runs have been made and wickets have been taken but they don’t seem to be coming at the right time for Diggers.

After three wins to start the season, Diggers have lost four straight and will attempt to break the streak on Saturday against Leagues Club at Exies No. 1.
Diggers captain Pat Whittard said the will was there from his players but things just hadn’t fallen into place.
“I think everyone has contributed to the team this year,” Whittard said.
“But I think each week we’re only having one or two contributing instead of four or five – I think that’s been our biggest problem.”
Whittard wished he had a magic wand to fix the problem but instead will do it the old fashioned way.
“There’s no real formula for it, you just have to keep training hard and hopefully everything clicks,” he said.
It’s not do or die for Diggers yet with plenty of cricket still to be played but Whittard wants his team to kick into gear soon and he hopes the run of losses might provide that.

“Everyone’s goal was to play finals at the start of the season,” he said.
“We started off well, now we’re slipping. Hopefully it’s [losing streak] a good shock to the system and we start playing well again.”
Whittard is the only confirmed in for Diggers after he missed the side’s last match against Hanwood two weeks ago.
The skipper will confirm a final 11 for the match against Leagues closer to match day.
Last time the teams met, Diggers secured a two-wicket win after a Glen Faganello four-wicket haul and Scott Smith half-century.
Whittard expected an equally close affair this time around.
