It could of been a different story for Sarah, only finishing one of her works just two days before the event
She was required to submit her work digitally five days prior to the event, followed by print versions of her pieces.
Making a dash to Melbourne, Sarah made her deadlines by the skin of her teeth.
“I came up to my studio and just worked on it until it was done and I’m glad I did,” Ms Brown said.
“You want to be able to present something that is visually pleasing at first, then you go closer and you see more. I think that’s what the judges look at in the awards.”
With no limits in imagination, Sarah brings her creative visions to life.
Be it the individual personalities of a family – the dreams of her young son inspiring to be a dancer, or transforming her husband from red-bearded Aussie male to someone totally unrecognisable.
Sarah is a perfectionist, making sure lighting and background are just right, even to the extreme of lining up floor boards.
“It’s getting it exactly right, the judges look at everything,” Ms Brown said.
