Hillston batted first and reached 2-50. Bill Dillon (31 retired) and Doug Irvine (21) were the mainstays but wickets tumbled and Hillston was all out for 103. Enzo Nolan (4-7) bowled a destructive spell and Daniel Whitworth (2-4) bowled tight. Griffith’s innings started badly and the side struggled to 3-38 before Mark Bennett produced a captain’s innings of 28.
Patient knocks from Noah Kirkman and Jack Cannon gave Griffith a win three-wicket win. Ben Wood (13) played a big role whilst Joel Golding and Oliver Randall both bowled well to take 2-4. Griffith’s next game is against Narrandera on November 6.
