A spirited bowling effort from Leagues Club has seen the outfit beat a 10-man Hanwood side in the Griffith District Cricket Association fourth grade competition last Wednesday.

Patrick Gunn (2-6), Joseph Bellicanta (2-1), Leo Forner (2-1) and Noblejit Singh (2-2) combined to bowl Hanwood out for 37.
Gulfam Ahmad (9) put up a big fight for Hanwood.
The run-chase wasn’t easy as Harry Rowston (1-7), Ahmad (1-11), Zac Demamiel (1-3), Daniel (1-2) and Jordan (1-0) Whitworth struck.
However, Enzo Nolan (12) top-scored to see Leagues home.
Diggers also fielded a 10-man side against a strong Coro outfit.
Coro batted first and Kyle Bennett led the way with 38.
Kolby Seers (23) was a perfect opening partner for Bennett whilst Jacob Witherspoon (18*) and Ben Signor (26*) finished off the innings.
Coro finished on 3-154.
Neil Dunne (12) did his best to repel Coro’s attack but Diggers struggled to form partnerships. Cooper Rand (3-3) was destructive as Coro won by 117 runs.
