“Community events like this get all of us to mix together, no matter our ages,” coordinator Andrea Finch said.
“It was amazing, just terrific – I would really encourage people next time to come out for a drive – we really need to keep small towns alive.”
Ms Finch said the bird watching weekend had reached a new level with the addition of zoologist, botanist and best-selling conservation author Tim Low.
“I have heard it was one of the best tours, he learnt about our area as well from the local farmers so everybody learnt something.” But entertainment didn’t stop there with the park in town coming alive with music from local talent.
