Their trip started on August 29 in Dubbo and took them up Noosa Heads as a finishing point on September 8.
During that time they were able to raise $12,100 for cystic fibrosis research – the sixth largest of the teams involved.
“We are really happy about how the whole trip went,” Troy Campbell said.
“We were able to raise heaps of money for the cystic fibrosis foundation and also able to take out the championship it self finishing first overall.
“As a team we wouldn't have been able to have the success we did without the support of our sponsors.
“They did some really amazing work for us in getting us and our car prepared for the trip and hope we made them proud.”
Having had so much success with taking out first in class, NSW and the outright winner as well as the family awards, the Campbell family are primed to take on the challenge again.
“We had a lot of fun on the journey and with the finishing position we achieved we are really looking forward to taking on the rally again next year,” Mr Campbell said.
