The group spends two months each year knitting small squares that get turned into blankets and sent all over the world.
Beryl Goodger said the group had a lot of laughs and fun, but it was really all about giving.
“We knit these blankets and they go to Sydney to be distributed around the world,” Mrs Goodger said. “Where these blankets go there aren’t any shops to buy blankets let alone money.”
Mrs Goodger said cold days were perfect for knitting and it made her appreciate how great the need for the blankets was.
“We read stories from children who tell of the difference it’s made in their lives,” she said.
