The wet weather has forced Griffith to take its training indoors over the past few weeks affecting the team’s preparation but are set to rise to the challenge to take on their biggest rivals.
“It’s been hard to prepare for this big game against Leeton but it should be pretty easy to get them up for this game, I’m not too concerned about that,” Vitucci said.
“Having pretty much three weeks off and not being able to run out onto the park is tough.”
The last time the two teams met, Griffith erased a 19-8 half-time deficit to lead 20-19 with minutes to go.
While Vitucci was one of the Blacks missing for that game, he said it gave Griffith an insight into what to expect this time around.
“We know it’s always going to be a big game against Leeton and they’re right up there on the ladder again this year,” Vitucci said.
