Held to raise money for the St Vincent’s Private Community Hospital and for a young Yenda girl suffering from a rare skin condition, the ball was the result of the hard work of three Griffith dance clubs.
“It all went amazingly and we were all so happy with how it went,” one organiser, Joy Plos, said.
“We still have money coming in for the raffle so we are not yet sure of the total amount raised but everyone was very generous and we had people buying tickets right up until the last minute. We have been so overwhelmed with how many people came forward with prizes, without even being asked.
“It was a beautiful night and we had some young ones there and they said it was just mesmerising watching the dancers. The young girl we were raising money for attended as did the bosses of St Vincent’s and it was so wonderful to hear the things they are going to do and their ideas – we are very lucky.”
