Celi donated $100 for every cooler sold to Griffith residents in the past year, in addition to funds raised during a charity auction.
Susan Macgillycuddy from GEIS operators Kurrajong Waratah was astounded at the amount donated and said it would make a huge difference.
“This is just amazing,” Mrs Macgillycuddy said. “Our staff help the kids be the best they can be. This will directly help the children reach their potential.”
Griffith golf pro James Lethlean thanked everyone for supporting GEIS.
“These guys do a fantastic job,” he said. “The families affected do it tough and they appreciate their work.”
Brenton Turner from the Celi Group thanked everyone for helping them help GEIS.
“It’s been really good,” Mr Turner said.
The $9000 raised last year helped GEIS lease a new car for outreach.
