Tau Faiva and Ezekial Ingram both put in outstanding performances for the All Stars and Tyneika Powell made a handy contribution.
All Stars coach Mitch Litchfield said the whole side performed brilliantly.
“It was a great team performance and they really wanted to win the grand final tonight,” he said.
For the Hornets, Rodney Gibbs, Scott Malise and Mele Ngahe all played their hearts out and coach Jaqcueline Tupa applauded her players for their never say die attitude.
The latest tournament was the third held in Griffith and numbers continue to grow with each one.
The success of the tournaments wouldn’t be possible without the volunteers and tournament manager Bonnie Fell thanked everyone who helped out.
Griffith Midnight Basketball chairperson Roger Penrith thanked the committee members for their hard work.
He also thanked Midnight Basketball Australia for providing funding and support.
Penrith also made special mention of Peter Smith for donating his barbecue, Griffith PCYC, Linking Community Network, Youth Off the Streets, The Personal Group, Griffith City Council, Chris Evans and Beau Edwards.
Roger also thanked Fell – who is leaving town due to work commitments – along with hard working volunteer Charlotte Manning and wished them both well in their new careers.
The next tournament will start on October 14.
