STUART Shaw got the shock of his life when his neighbour rang him to inform him a car had crashed into his backyard early on Tuesday morning.

About 4.15am Mr Shaw, who lives in Doherty Place, heard a loud bang.
Shortly after, he got a call from his neighbour who told him “someone has driven into your house, mate”.
Mr Shaw went to have a look and found a Holden Statesman almost entirely inside his fence-line.
The front bumper bar and bonnet was caved in where it had collided with a corner of the house.
The fence, which had been installed only six months ago, was destroyed and a water pipe was damaged.
Mr Shaw said a neighbour saw youths fleeing the scene.
Police reportedly responded within minutes of the incident.
Inspector Tony Reneker from Griffith Local Area Command said the car had been stolen overnight from a house on Coolah Street.
“The car was being driven along Middleton Avenue and it crashed into a house on the corner of Doherty Place,” Inspector Reneker said.
“Witnesses reported seeing six young people get out of the car and run off down Doherty Place, two males and four females.”
Inspector Reneker said police were continuing their enquiries.
