It’s no secret that I’m a huge fan of Durif. I love the bold, punchy flavours and the port-y quality. Getting a chance to go behind the scenes at Calabria Family Wines was a real treat.
There’s something special about big barrels of fermented grape juice and it would be great to see our home-grown products wow the world.
Sadly, it becomes a marketing game no matter how good the product is. If no-one hears about it then what’s the point?

This year, as Griffith celebrates its 100th birthday, let’s all try to celebrate and share what makes our little city great: the people, the cultures, the lifestyle and, of course, all that yummy, yummy food and drink.
