The Rangers’ 18-man squad features a heavy contingent of Griffith District Cricket Association players, with Simon Mackie, Haydn Pascoe, Dan Bozic, Mark Burns, Paul Plummer (vc), Connor Matheson, Marc Tucker and Jimmy Binks making the cut.
Learmonth, who is based in Hay, said regional pride would ensure the Rangers gave their all against the home team.
“There’s no mucking around from us. We’re going there to win,” he said.
“There’s no going out there thinking we’re going to lose.
“That’s why we haven’t spoken about Wagga or even looked through their squad
“We’ll worry about what we do and get the job done.”
The Rangers finalised their squad for the knockout tournament at the weekend and will hold a training session on the morning of Sunday’s game. While the preparation time is short, Learmonth said the Rangers boasted plenty of talent.
“There’s a lot of really good cricketers there,” he said.
“We had a hard time picking the side. Everyone there, they all went through their paces and impressed at selection. It looks to be a really good side.”
Sixteen teams are taking part in this season’s inaugural Regional Bash, with the Rangers sharing the Thunder Conference with the ACT Aces, Border Bullets, Central West Wranglers, Orana Outlaws, South Coast Crew, Southern Riverina Vipers and Sloggers.
