After beating Coolamon to notch their first win of 2015 before the bye, the Swans struggled to keep pace with the fifth-placed Lions before losing 47-23.
Second bottom on the Riverina Netball League ladder, Griffith are out of contention for the finals and are only playing for pride in the remaining three rounds.
Next up for the Swans is a difficult away clash against Collingullie-Glenfield Park, who lead the competition with only one loss to their name.
Last time the teams met in round seven, the Demons flexed their premiership muscle to romp to an 83-23 victory.
In A reserve grade on Sunday, the Swans led from start to finish to earn a convincing 40-17 win over the bottom-placed Lions.
The Swans B graders also prevailed 42-25, while the Griffith C grade team went down 35-26.
In other news, the Barellan and District Netball Association will hold its trials for the 2016 representative season on September 18 at the Barellan sports ground.
Trials are open for all players who will turn 10 through to 17 in 2016.
