Each week in the lead up to the event The Area News will profile some of the people involved in the production.
This week we take a look at Joanne Tarbit who will play ‘lady with a cane.’
Like a few of her cast members she does have an acting background, even if it has to be traced back to her high-school days.
So far she said the experience had been “fantastic” and that there were a few things in particular that she looked forward to.
“I’m excited about extending myself and saying a number of lines,” she said.
“I’m hoping to get some new confidence, new friends and some new skills out of it all.”
What kind of performance can we expect out of Ms Tarbit?
Well if her favourite movie, Coyote Ugly, has anything to say about it, we may be in for a wild ride.
This isn’t the only thing that will help push her performance over the line.
She noted that one of her favourite things to do in her spare time, when she’s not out and about on the ski slopes, is to sit down and watch Dance Mums.
It hasn’t been all smooth sailing so far but she is confident she can overcome any hurdles that come her way.
"The biggest challenge so far has been the harmonies,” she said.
“My biggest fear of it all has to be forgetting my lines.”
Once it’s all said and done though, this environmental planner will probably reflect on it all with a nice wine and cheese, after all it is her favourite food.
