Griffith vendors sold 2940 sheep and lambs and quality was mixed.
Heavy and extra heavy weight lambs made up the majority of the offering.
Most of the usual buyers were present and competing in a dearer market. Light lambs sold from $108 to $120/head. Trade weights were firm to $3 dearer with prices ranging from $114 to $142/head.
Heavy and extra heavy weight lambs regained all of last week’s drop lifting $8 to $10/head.
Heavy lambs sold from $144 to $155 with extra heavies receiving from $153 to $195/head. Carcase prices averaged from 578c to 609c/kg cwt. There was a very limited number of mutton sold this sale. Merino ewes received from $93 to $110/head.
