It’s every parent’s worst nightmare.
The death has made me realise how precious each and every moment with your child is.
The moments are fleeting and if you blink you will miss them.
If you’re a parent, an aunty, an uncle, or have friends with children, take the time to remember how precious children are.
Each and every one of them knows how to brighten a day – usually just by smiling or displaying their genuine curiosity for the world.
Just think of how magic Christmas Day is when there are young children around.
I know as a mother when you’re feeling down, a simple quip from your son can immediately brighten your day.
My five-year-old son’s favourite saying at the moment is “what the shell?”
They never fail to make you laugh and amaze you with their thirst for knowledge.
In the wake of this tragedy I encourage anyone who has a child to enjoy each and every moment with them.
Play with them and tell them you love them as much as possible.
Cherish every second.
Our thoughts and prayers go out to the boy’s family and friends.
RIP, precious angel.
