Amidst all the action taking place at the Field Days, the ladies from Yenda Inner Wheel Club were out raising money for cord blood research.

The cord blood coordinator for the Yenda Inner Wheel Club, Brenda Bowen, said it was something that has been going on for quite some time.
“We do it in the month of May but it's something that’s been going on for about 10 years now,” she said.
“Inner Wheel nominates a charity that they are going to support and cord blood research has been going on for quite a while.
“In raising money for cord blood research the Australia Inner Wheel put out merchandise which they sell and the money goes towards the research.”
This hasn’t been the only way they’ve raised money though.
“It’s more about whatever we get, we get with the merchandise but we had our big fundraiser last Sunday,” she said.
“We had a high tea at the Yenda Diggers Club and we raised $5000.”
