Students from Griffith High have returned home after travelling to Gallipoli to commemorate the centenary of Anzac Day.
Still tired from their journey, the students talked a little about just what it was like over there.
“It was a great experience to be over there, some of the things that we were able to do while over there, I mean it's a once in a lifetime moment really,” Giulia Zanotto said.
“It really puts into perspective what the soldiers had to go through.”
“The dawn service was absolutely amazing,” Jorja Waring-Bryant said.
“The atmosphere was unlike anything I’d ever witnessed.”
The students’ teacher Venessa Horne described her pleasure of accompanying the students.
“Everybody was so respectful towards us,” she said.
“It was such a lovely environment and I think the kids got a lot out of it as well.”
