Griffith Swimming Club members helped Riverina win the prestigious James Brophy Memorial Trophy in Canberra.

The 12 Griffith swimmers competed strongly at the event, which also drew teams from ACT, South Eastern, Mountains and Plains, Ovens and Murray, and South Western.
Erin Golden had a good meet and picked up a PB in her butterfly and backstroke.
Morgan Twigg received a bronze medal in her butterfly race after swimming a one-second PB.
Joshua Golden was nursing a leg injury but still swam a good time in his freestyle.
Niamh Wood produced a great effort to swim PBs in all four strokes.
Sienna Donadel was backing up from a swim in Sydney but still earned a two-second PB in her breaststroke.
Zaine Della-France swam PBs in his butterfly and backstroke events, while Wil Donaldson shone to pick up silver in his freestyle race and PBs in his butterfly, breaststroke and backstroke.
Samantha Taylor registered PBs in her four events. Mason Donadel swam the butterfly and backstroke, picking up a one-second PB in the latter.
Charlie Wallace-Chapman swam well in his breaststroke event, while Nicole Taylor gained PBs in her freestyle, backstroke and butterfly.
James Tilston recorded PBs in his backstroke, butterfly and breaststroke.
Griffith swimmers also helped Riverina relay teams win medals in the following: boys’ 14-15 4x50m medley – Joshua Golden (bronze); girls’ 14-15 4x50m medley – Morgan Twigg and Erin Golden (silver); girls’ nine and under 4x50m medley – Nicole Taylor (silver); girls’ 10-11 4x50m medley – Samantha Taylor (silver); boys’ 12-13 4x50m medley – James Tilston (bronze); girls’ 14-15 4x50m freestyle – Morgan Twigg and Erin Golden (bronze); girls’ nine and under 4x50m freestyle relay – Nicole Taylor (silver); girls’ 10-11 4x50 freestyle – Samantha Taylor (bronze); boys’ 12-13 4x50m freestyle – James Tilston (bronze); girls’ open 8x50m freestyle multi-age – Morgan Twigg, Erin Golden and Niamh Wood (bronze).
