“I go from week to week when it comes to money. What can I do?”
As a child, one of my favourite songs was ABBA’s Money, Money, Money. I considered it such a playful, upbeat song, I still do. But despite being able to enjoy that song, I grew up with very serious attitudes toward money and working hard for it. Over time, I have lessened my attachment to money and have taught myself to separate struggle from prosperity.
Today, the Appreciation card was drawn from the Money and the Law of Attraction deck.
Being appreciative is not some airy-fairy principle to take lightly. It is a most powerful way to create an abundant and joyful life.
This is echoed by Esther and Jerry Hicks through the teachings of Abraham (the authors of today’s card), “The fastest way to get to an improved financial condition is to look for pleasing things that you already have.”
Cancel out worry by doing whatever it takes to get your mind and emotions in a positive place. Initially, it may seem difficult if worrying is the only way you’ve known. Take the focus off money. In the very least, it will bring you relief.
Here are my hot tips for showing you the money fast:
- Clear the clutter. Space clearing expert Denise Linn refers to it as, “Modern day alchemy. You have to clear out the old to make way for the new.”
- Avoid talking about money woes and the price of things (it keeps the energy stuck in a place of lack and scarcity).
- Notice abundance everywhere – it could be in the form of time, energy or money.
- Use affirmations to change your thinking patterns (a list will be included on my blog along with this post).
We really do live in an abundant world, if we are prepared to see. Every time I have practiced an attitude of gratitude and been thankful for what I already have, I’ve received unexpected windfalls, found misplaced money or made savings.
