A 27-year-old Griffith man has been charged with detain person in company with intent to obtain advantage following an investigation into the alleged kidnapping of a man who was found chained to a tree in Cocoparra National Park last Monday.
He was refused bail and will appear in Griffith Local Court on Wednesday.
Investigations continue.
Meanwhile, a 24-year-old Griffith man was arrested following a break and enter at a motel on Wednesday morning.
Police allege the man broke into an office at the motel and stole keys to a drink machine and took a quantity of cash.
He was arrested at 9.30pm on Friday night and will appear in Griffith Local Court on February 11.
