Four sports awards are up for grabs – Junior Sportsperson of the Year, Senior Sportsperson of the Year, Team of the Year and Club Person of the Year.
The Griffith Sports Council will also announce its Overall Sportsperson of the Year at the event.
Those in the running for awards in the various categories include archer Sean Pianca, soccer player Eliza Ammendolia, cyclist Peter Budd, snowboarder Joany Badenhorst, martial artist Nick Taprell and Griffith Little Athletics president Veronica Cudmore.
Griffith Sports Council president Lou Testoni said any of the 35 nominees would be worthy winners in their respective categories.
“So many did so well. We had state and national reps this year,” he said.
“Considering the distances people have to travel, it shows country people are committed to their sport.”
