Arun and Alphin met in Melbourne in 2013 and after a 12 month courtship travelled to Kerala in Southern India for their wedding.
The ceremony was a mix of Roman Catholic tradition and Indian culture and Arun and Alphin shared their day with more than 400 guests.
The couple exchanged rings and vows before Arun tied the traditional Indian minnu around his bride’s neck as a sign of their commitment.
The minnukettu, or tying of the knot, involves a small leaf shaped pendant made of gold with seven tiny beads forming a cross.
The holy cross minnum is bound by spun threads, and tied around the bride's neck by the groom on the wedding day, symbolising the permanence of the marriage.
After the ceremony the couple enjoyed a lunch at the parish hall followed by a thanksgiving ceremony.
Arun described his wedding as a very blessed and beautiful day.
