Police are now on the hunt for three people who forced entry into a Griffith home.
About 1pm two males and a female suspect forced their way into a flat on Coolah Street.
The two occupants of the flat were assaulted and the thieves fled with cash, personal and household items.
The three took off in a medium sized black four-wheel-drive.
The suspects are described as - a male about 185 centimetres with an olive complexion. He was wearing dark clothing; a male about 45-years-old with shoulder length yellow hair and a moustache wearing dark clothing and a female with an olive complexion, aged in her late 30s. She was described as short with long black hair tied back.
Detective Acting Inspector Scott Wilkinson urged anyone with information to contact the Griffith Police Station on 6969 4299 or Crime Stoppers o 1300 333 000.
He said police were seeking information from any member of the public who may have witnessed the incident or have knowledge of the offenders.
"If they are sighted, do not approach and contact the police urgently on 000," he said.
