Since October, Eacom a Griffith-based home security company has experienced a 25 to 30 per cent increase in domestic inquiries.
Eacom general manager Adrian Lucas said residents were "particularly interested" in buying the DSC Fully Wireless home security system.
Griffith police Detective Tim Clark said local police were looking to work closely with the community to combat property offences.
In December police made "a number of key arrests" resulting in a decline in break and enters across the region.
"All of the police here have worked very hard to find the offenders, lock them up and put them before the court," detective Clark said.
While police are "very pleased" with their efforts, they believe a number of known suspects are still at large.
"Hopefully we will be arresting some of them soon," Detective Clark said.
Police are urging residents to remain vigilant and protect themselves against opportunistic thieves.
Last weekend, thieves smashed the front passenger side window of a vehicle parked at the rear of a business in Banna Avenue, Griffith.
"People need to ensure that they're locking their cars and also not leaving items of value on display," Detective Clark said.
He also suggested residents tell relatives and friends when they go on holidays.
"There certainly are property offences taking place, not to scale they were before," Detective Clark said.
