And Griffith man Amar Jit Singh is just one of the locals who keeps getting adored by children.
"Wherever I go, children look at me curiously," the 68-year-old said.
"Ever since I came here in 2000, every year at Christmas time children keep asking me whether I am Santa.
"There is a belief that if you really believe that you can do something, you can do it or become it.
"I feel I really can be Santa Claus, so I am Santa Claus."
The yoga practitioner said Christmas held a great importance in the community and for him personally.
"At home my children put up the lights and my grandchildren put up our Christmas tree.
"We're very excited about celebrating Christmas," the India-born Santa said.
